將粉紅粘帚菌(Gliocladium roseum)和灰葡萄孢菌(Botrytis cinerea)分生孢子同苜蓿(alfalfa)花粉(每毫升含8-9×104花粉粒)混合培養,用光學顯微鏡和雷子顯微鏡研究G. roseum寄生B. cinerea分生孢子及其發芽管之過程。結果表明B. cinerea之孢子及發芽管均易受G. roseum侵染。用掃描雷子顯微鏡(SEM)顴察顯示G. roseum以菌絲尖端直接入侵B. cinerea孢子及發芽管之細胞壁,在侵入部位未發現其形成附著胞(appressorium)的現象。用穿透式雷子顯微鏡顴察顯示G. roseum在入侵時常導致寄主細胞壁凹陷、剝離分層及破裂等現象。在寄生之後期,B. cinerea孢子及發芽管之原生質完全潰解,而G. roseum則在寄主細胞內蔓延生長及形成分枝。
Conidia and germ tubes of Botrytis cinerea were highly susceptible to infection by the mycoparasite Gliocladiurn roseurn, when both organisms were grown as a mixed culture in sterile water containing 8-9×104 pollen grains of alfalfa per ml solution. Scanning electron microscopic studies revealed that infection of conidia and germ tubes occurred through direct penetration by hyphal tips of G. roseum without the formation of appressoria. Transmission electron microscopic studies indicated indentation and rupture of the host cell walls at penetration sites. The parasitized conidia and germ tubes of B. cinerea showed signs of cytoplasmic disintegration and the presence of hyphae of G. roseum.
