其語「作格動詞J (e唔ative verbs) 是中擇其過程中困擾母語中文學生的-個問題a 即 使其語能力較高者,在其語作格動詞用法土的存在各種錯嚼。本研克以本校翻譯^'四 年純學生、翻譯研究所二年組學生,業界母語為中文專業譯者及母語為其語專業譯者 各15 名譯者為研究對車,每位譯者中譯其2 萬中文社論文章,共謹取譯文120 萬。本 研克首先對母語中文譯者的譯文(此一特殊中介語)使用「作格動詞」進行蛻計命析, 普現不同其語程度譯者的使用偏好和差異,進而將其與母語為其語譯者譯文中「作格 動詞」的使用進行比較a 研究結果顯示,三祖母語為中文譯者「作格動詞」的使用扭 母語為其主譯者產出明顯不足。由於本研究生試者其語程度跨越四個層次,本研究認 鳥,母語中文譯者「作格動詞」使用產出明顯不足可能是其語能力、中其文「作格動 詞」差異共同作用的結果。由此,本研究建議提高高祖其語教學中對「作格動詞」的 重視,並針對本研究華現的r 作格動詞」用法上的具體問題加強施教。
English ergative verbs have been identified 晶posmg gr田.t difficulties for L2 le前ners including native-Chinese 叩開國ng translators, whose translations from Chinese in個English are considered a special fonn of interlanguage. This study looks at the pattem of native ~hinese speaking translaωrs in their use of ergative verbs when translating Chinese editorials into English. A srnall translation co中間h晶b甜n built consisting of 120 個.nslations from fo叮groups of 抽nslators of different translation and English language compet叩臼levels. This study reveals that 血e native-Chinese spe此ing tra阻lators produce significantly fewer ergative verbs than the native-Fnglish speaking translators. The study suggests that 甘le prl吋uction of ergative verbs in translation is correlated with the translator's competence level and the typologicallanguage di叮erences between Chinese and English
