當代已邁入所謂的「知識經濟」社會,知識成為最重要的經濟資源。這種知識地位的重置,突顯再概念化「知識」的重要性。如何構設「知識經濟」社會中知識的新圖像?這是本文試圖探索的問題,也是二十一世紀管理教育革新的核心議題。
本文探討管理科學知識典範失效的根源問題,提出實踐智慧的意涵與價值,以回應當前管理人才培育的改革需求,並提供如何以敘說探究的教與學來培養實踐智慧的具體作法,進而反思管理教育的預設,建議朝向以實踐智慧為核心能力的轉化學習與轉譯教育觀。本研究認為,知識經濟社會中教育者的核心任務,將不再是系統性學問的傳遞者,而是一種更高層次的知識「轉譯者」。這樣的新任務,使得我們必須重新思考管理教育的預設與做法,投向更為緊密連結真實世界的實踐智慧修煉。
It is argued that knowledge has become the most important economic resource for the economy when the contemporary society turned itself into the so-called knowledge economy society. The relocation of the status of knowledge has highlighted the significance of re-conceptualization of knowledge. Thus, this paper tries to discuss how to conceive of the new image of knowledge in the knowledge economy society, which is meanwhile the key issue for the innovation of management education.
This paper examines the roots of the inability of the knowledge paradigm of the management science and proposes the implications and values of practical wisdom, responding to the need of management education reform. It provides the experience of how to cultivate practical wisdom by means of teaching and learning for narrative enquiry, and suggests we should move towards the translation oriented perspective of education and transformative learning which takes practical wisdom as its core ability. It is claimed in this paper that the central mission of educator in the knowledge economy society is not to be transmitter of the systemic knowledge but a high level translator of knowledge, which asks for a reconsideration of the presumption and practice of management education and moves towards the discipline of practical wisdom that connects with the real world more closely.
